SkinBetter Peel

The SkinBetter Peel is perfect for people who want a peel without having the downtime of a peel.  With this peel it provides amazing resurfacing, brightening, and healing results with zero downtime.  AlphaRet Professional Peel System 30 and 50 must be applied by a professional.  It is recommended to start with the 30 and build up to the 50.  

The AlphaRet Peel Solution 50 is a higher-strength peel.  It is a chemical peel that was developed to reduce sun damage, wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and blemishes and scarring.  It is recommended to get a peel treatment once per month.  You can also use the SkinBetter science regimen of products, including Alto Defense Serum, Trio Rebalancing Moisture Treatment, AlphaRet Overnight Cream, and SPF 30+.  

The product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that can increase your skin's sensitivity to sun.  It is very important to use sunscreen, and wear protective clothing, plus stay out of the sun for at least one week post treatment.  This product also contains retinoids in a topical form.

Results are gradual over the next months.  Optimal results require three treatments.

Active Ingredients

+ Lactic Acid (10%) – an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) naturally found in milk and sugars. It breaks down the bonds between cells (desmosomes) to allow for easier exfoliation of dead surface cells, hydrates the skin, and inhibits melanogenesis by suppressing the formation of tyrosinase.

+ Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) (20%) – a superficial and medium-depth peeling agent that helps minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring.

+ Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid) – a natural compound with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that interferes with the internal pathways of hyperpigmentation.
